Orinda Residence

This project is designed around an already existing tennis court, the client built a workout / playroom along side the court and heavily landscaped the grounds. We installed walkways and steps around the property, linking the tennis court area with a bocce ball /horseshoe area, upper patio areas and the firepit. The steps are all large bluestone monoliths very heavy yet installed with precision, curving and beautiful. The pathways are meant to provide safe access and at the same time allow creeping ground cover to grow and soften the edges. The patios are an intricate precision design made up of different sized cut stone that had to be cut perfectly to fit together without mortar joints! The stone walls and waterfeature are exceptional examples of the masons art, every stone hand fitted to create long lasting beauty.
